I lose myself in this troubled sea of life
Even though I laugh with my friends at night
Removing my mask, I lie in my room
I ask myself, “Who am I?”
On a journey I go, ‘round the world
To no destination, I unfurl
The layers of my soul, searching, searching…
I journey on, gazing at nature, a perfect pearl.
Through rain, through heat, through fatigue, through hunger,
I see my life, my happiness, my sadness, my anger
I see my hopes and dreams, how close to my heart they are.
So I journey back, the same steps,
back to friends, love, comfort, and shelter
And to them I say, “I’m home.”
“Welcome back.”

I had to update something. It's been way too long.
Haha, well, this was actually for an English assignment.
We were supposed to do a "Rubaiyat" poem, based of of a Persian poet named Omar Khaddyam(?).
well something like that anyway. His poetry was in a AABA rhyme pattern and had a more regular rhythm than mine.
Is there such a thing as fan poetry? Like fanart? Heh, I wrote this like, a day or two after I finished Hachimitsu to Clover (Honey and Clover). Great anime. You shud watch. (unless all you want is action... then maybe you shudn't. heh) Welp, here ya go peoplez.
