Aaaaand here we go! Part 1 of 3 (or 4?) of my third visit to Anime Expo, first visit to Long Beach Convention Center.
Day 1, June 29, Friday
Let's summarize my day before AX
5:30 AM wake up
6:30 AM drive to Santa Monica
7:15 - 10:05 AM Calculus III
10:45 AM arrive back home
12:00 PM eat some fried chicken and chicken sandwiches for lunch, pack chicken for sister
12:30 PM leave to pick up sister from summer school
12:45 PM pick up sister, begin trip to Long Beach
2:00 PM Arrive in Long Beach Convention Center, drop off sisters at the Hyatt hotel next door, pay $8 for parking in Long Beach Convention Center's main lot
I drove into the lot and discovered a line. Little did I know that this line was a pain for many people. This line was for the SKIN concert. Oh the delays before the concerts really did a number on the trust people had with staff.
I had dropped off my sisters to go and acquire our badges as I went to park. Luckily I found that there were quite a few spaces left, and after parking and taking a few pics, I went to search for my sisters.
I'm not really sure what happened, but it took them a little longer than I had expected. I couldn't really understand pompi over the phone. XD;; in any case, we did eventually get the badges.
I soon went ahead into the exhibit hall to do a little reconnaissance on the loot the dealers were selling. I was basically using up my time until the SOS panel. Once I left the exhibit hall, I went in search for the SOS panel line. I didn't have a guide with me, since I think my sisters only picked up two. But, luckily, the line for the panel wasn't very far from the exhibit hall exit. I promptly fell in line. A rather long line, I might add.

I decided to chat with the guys in line. It went well when I did it last year. One dude was supposed to be cosplaying as someone from Organization XII, but the dry cleaners had ruined his coat thingy. It was shrunk. He was a rather tall person, and certainly had more mass than my skinny self. I've never cosplayed, but that must really really suck. All he had left was his keyblade. (which might I add was a very sturdy, well-built one. This guy spent a lot of time on this)

Well, anyway, I came in the ballroom, and got a ticket that supposedly gets me priority in the autograph session. No cameras allowed, so no pics guys, sorry.
But zomg they're cute.
What? Who's SOS? Why the seiyuu for Suzumiya Haruhi, Nagato Yuki, and Asahina Mikuru~ ^^ (Hirano Aya, Chihara Minori, Goto Yuko, respectively) They all seemed so cheery. XD; I enjoyed seeing Aya's surprise at the fact that many people had listed to her character CDs and have seen Lucky Star. hahaha... They talked about food quite a bit too. XD; massive shrimps, chocolate, cake... haha... Oh, and I got to hear Aya go "CHA LA~~~!! HEAD CHA LAAAA~~!" XD;; omg, that was great. There was anothing she did from Lucky Star, but I hadn't gotten that far yet. It was something repetitive, I know that much.
Ah... afterwards... I'm not sure what I... Oh, right, I met up with my sisters and her friends for dinner. We had grossly expensive Japanese food being sold by the caterers there. $8.00 a bowl. I ordered two to go with the leftover sandwiches we had from lunch.
We chatted, I discovered my sisters had bought a bunch of KOS-MOS figures and Tales of the Abyss ones too.
And... we all just chilled there... went into the convention center... hung out. I took some blurry pictures. I was still learning how to use my camera, and in my stupidity, I forgot to turn on the flash. bleh. I made that mistake less and less as the days went on.

And so, around 9:30-ish, we left to go back home, leaving Pompi so she could stay over with her friends.
I went to bed around 11, ready for another day.

I'm still alive. Hi Sakuracon-people
If you're here from the business cards I gave out at Sakuracon, hi! I still draw, but I don't update here. Maybe when I have more time. That said, feel free to comment here or follow me on Twitter SleepyDood (https://www.deviantart.com/sleepydood); I'm most active there.
Got here from AX?
I probably should have posted this as soon as AX ended...
So I handed out cards to people who I met and thought were cool with my contact info. It had my devART website on it. Unfortunately, this account has been pretty dead, but I hope to rectify that within the year.
Incidentally, I was Okabe Rintarou on Day 1-2 and Koyomi Araragi on Day 3-4. In case you don't remember me. But I'm sure I gave you the spiel about how I got the colors all wrong on my business card and I ended up looking all dark. haha
So anyway, to those of you that visited this lonely corner of dA feel free to follow me on my twitter or facebook~ it's on the card! I'm mor
Hey guys.
What's up?
Uhh...
Man I suck at updating...
January: ALA was fun.
February: Phone interview! Too bad nothing came of it.
March: FUUUUUUUUU---!!! Man, I started drawing a "Pray for Japan" pic, but it got too complicated. Maybe I'll try and finish it for the 6 month anniversary. When is that, September?
April: Visited a dermatologist for the first time ever. Very, very happy that my skin is clearing up for the first time ever. Still clearing up, but hey, it took years to get to this point, I don't expect it all to go away in a day.
May: Birthday! Also, I started drawing in my sketchbook again! Also, I got a job interview with Boeing! Still waiting for a res
